Media: Drawing — Scratchboard
Scratchboard
Scratchboard is cardboard coated with gesso (a mixture of chalk and glue) that the artist covers with ink. Scraping away the ink reveals the white gesso surface, resulting in a drawing that resembles a woodcut print. Scratchboard combines the bold, graphic qualities of printmaking with the immediacy of a drawing.

Currently, there are no scratchboard drawings in the NextMonet inventory.
